These announcements follow quite a turbulent period for MediaCom Australia. The key promotions made by The Content + Connections Agency will bring fresh energy, focus and clarity to the agency’s national operations.

Says Mark Heap, CEO MediaCom APAC and acting CEO MediaCom Australia: “We’re a young, dynamic, exciting industry, which is going through seismic change with the onset of digital, data and technology. We have injected our Melbourne Leadership Team with bright, engaging, passionate leaders who are extremely inspiring and can motivate those around them. These people, along with the rest of the National Leadership Team will help propel our agency forward.”

Havercroft has been with MediaCom Melbourne for the past 8 years. Previous roles include head of MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA) and group director.

During Havercrofts’ remit as general manager, she has established a strong leadership team within the Melbourne office, and as a result, has successfully restructured the entire agency. Within her new role as managing director, Havercroft will take on the day-to-day leadership of the Melbourne office and will continue to create more globally recognised work.

Says Havercroft: “It’s exciting to be leading the charge in this new phase for MediaCom Melbourne. For me, our agency approach of ‘people first, better results’ holds true as I’m fortunate to have a talented management team who have collaborated with me to re-energise our agency, as well as progressive clients who value our Content + Connections thinking.”

Elliott has been with MediaCom for over 15 years and has been a significant part in the evolution and success of the agency. As part of the Melbourne Leadership Team, Elliott has forged a powerful and complementary partnership with Havercroft. He will continue to lead the investment operations for the agency, and within his new remit, will be more broadly involved in overall operations and commercials for the agency.

Says Elliott: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this role and continuing my long career at MediaCom. It’s a time of positive change for the agency and I’m looking forward to continuing that momentum with the outstanding talent we have here and a brilliant group of clients to work with.”

Alongside Gareth Nichols, who will lead Melbourne’s’ account management operations, this leadership trio represents a very powerful, progressive and exciting talent base for MediaCom Melbourne.

Says Heap: “We are thrilled that we, as an agency, can recognise and promote exceptional talent from within. Our leadership team is filled with talented, passionate individuals, whom collectively, have progressive mindsets that will ensure our clients continue to receive world-class work.

“With more investments in senior talent being made in the coming months, 2016 is going to be an exciting year for all at MediaCom Australia.”
