Spikes Asia: Australian agencies score awards in Promo & Activation, Outdoor, Radio, PR and Print

Melanoma-likes-me.jpgAustralia has performed well at the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, scoring Gold, Silver and Bronze Spikes across most categories at last night’s ceremony in Singapore.

PROMO & ACTIVATION

Australia scored four of the seven Gold Spikes awarded in the category: GPY&R Melbourne+Brisbane won a Gold and Silver for Melanoma Patients Australia ‘Melanoma likes me’; Traffik Sydney won a Gold and Silver Spike for Samsung ‘Slideliner’; Whybin\TBWA Melbourne also won a Gold and Silver Spike for 3AW ‘It’s your call’ and McCann Melbourne scored one Gold and two Silver for Tigerair ‘Infrequent Flyers Club’. Silver Spikes were awarded to Red Agency for Jack Daniels’ ‘The bar that Jack built’; Leo Burnett Melbourne scored two Silver Spikes and a Bronze for SPC ‘#MyFamilyCan’ and GPY&R Brisbane scored two Silver Spikes for SP Lager ‘Cantenna’. Australia won eight Bronze Spikes; Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne won two for ANZ ‘Only GAYTM in the Village’; GPY&R Brisbane for BCF ‘You Wish Fish’; M&C Saatchi Sydney for Blue Ball Foundation ‘Game of Balls’; Clemenger BBDO Sydney was awarded a Bronze Spike for Whiskas ‘Catstacam’; Havas Worldwide Australia for Virgin Mobile ‘#Mealforameal and DDB Sydney and Mango for McDonald’s ‘Macitbetter’.

A Gold Spike was awarded to GPY&R Melbourne for Public Transport Australia ‘Donation Posters’, one of only five Gold spikes awarded. The work also won a Silver Spike. Silver Spikes also went to J Walter Thompson Sydney for Imodium ‘Pants’; GPY&R Melbourne for Farm Pride Foods ”The billboard with nothing to hide’; and Leo Burnett Melbourne for SPC Ardmona ‘#myfamilycan’. A Bronze Spike was awarded to Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Keep Australia Fishing ‘The Underwater Billboard’.

RADIO

Gold Spikes were awarded to GPY&R Melbourne for the Legacy ‘Letters of Gallipoli’ campaign and to Leo Burnett Melbourne for Slurpee ‘BYO Cup Day – Precious Nanna’. A Silver Spike also went to Leo Burnett Melbourne for Slurpee ‘BYO Cup Day – Wrong Bowl’. Leo Burnett Sydney won a Silver Spike for the Bundaberg Rum ‘Men Like Us’ campaign. Leos also won three Bronze Spikes for the Bundaberg ‘Men Like Us – Brave’, ‘Men Like Us – Tasting’ and ‘Men Like Us – Polar Bear’ spots. A Bronze Spike was awarded to GPY&R Melbourne for the Legacy ‘Letters of Gallipoli – War’ spot.

Two Silver Spikes were awarded to Whybin\TBWA Melbourne for ANZ ‘Equal Future’; one Silver Spike was won by Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Tourism Australia ‘Restaurant Australia’ as well as Whiskas ‘Catstacam’; Edelman Sydney / Traffik Sydney for Samsung ‘Slideliner’; Leo Burnett Melbourne for SPC Ardmona ‘#myfamilycan’; Havas Worldwide Sydney for Virgin Australia ‘#mealforameal’; and DDB Sydney / Mango for McDonald’s ‘#Macitbetter’. A Bronze Spike went to Leo Burnett Melbourne for SPC Ardmona ‘#myfamilycan’.

A Bronze Spike was awarded to Leo Burnett Melbourne for the Honda Genuine Parts campaign.

PRINT & POSTER CRAFT

A Silver Spike went to JOY Sydney for the H&R Block campaign and a Bronze Spike was awarded to Leo Burnett Melbourne for the Honda Genuine Parts campaign.
