Spikes Asia: Australian agencies score awards in Film, Film Craft, Branded Content, Digital, Mobile, Design and Healthcare

HONDA-HR-V.jpgAustralia has performed well at the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, scoring Gold, Silver and Bronze Spikes across most categories at tonight’s ceremony in Singapore.

FILM

A Gold Spike was awarded to Leo Burnett Melbourne for Honda ‘Dream Run’, one of only four Golds awarded on the night. Silver Spikes were awarded to BMF Australia for the Aldi campaign and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for TAC ‘Strings’. Bronze Spikes were won by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for Mars Petcare ‘Good Fight’ and Seek ’13 Years’; McCann Melbourne for Tigerair ‘Infrequent Flyers Club’; The Works Sydney for Sea Shepherd ‘The ultimate death scene’; Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Dolmio ‘Pepper Hacker’; and J. Walter Thompson Sydney for Nutri-Grain ‘Unstoppable stories’.

M&C Saatchi Sydney scored a Gold Spike for Blue Ball Foundation ‘Game of Balls’, one of only three awarded on the night. A Silver Spike was awarded to Clemenger BBDO, Sydney for Mars Petcare ‘Catstacam’, one of only 10 Silvers awarded; while Leo Burnett Sydney won a Bronze Spike for Canon ‘Shine’, one of only eight Bronze Spikes awarded.

DIGITAL

Bronze Spikes were awarded to Leo Burnett Melbourne for SPC Ardmona ‘#Myfamilycan’ and to McCann Melbourne for Tigerair ‘Infrequent Flyers Club’.

FILM CRAFT

A Gold Spike was awarded to Alt.VFX Brisbane for Pepsi Japan ‘Momotaro episode three’; while Silver Spikes were won by The Works Sydney for Sea Shepherd ‘The ultimate death scene’ – which also won a Bronze Spike – and Alt.VFX Brisbane for Honda Australia ‘Dream Run’. A Bronze Spike was awarded to Revolver/Will O’Rourke for MLA ‘You’re better on beef’.

MOBILE

J Walter Thompson Melbourne won a Gold Spike for Melbourne Writers Festival ‘Twists & Turns’, one of only three Golds awarded. The agency also won a Silver Spike for the same campaign, one of only three awarded, as well as a Bronze Spike. Two Bronze Spikes were awarded to Havas Worldwide Australia / One Green Bean Sydney, both for Virgin Mobile ‘#mealforameal’; GPY&R Brisbane won a Bronze Spike for Melanoma Patients Australia ‘Melanoma likes me’.  

DESIGN

Bronze Spikes were awarded to Leo Burnett, Sydney for WWF ‘Just’ as well as Diageo ‘Mutiny’; M&C Saatchi Sydney for Australian Cancer Research Foundation ‘The one who will end cancer’; and Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Hungry Jack’s ‘The pack that scares birds’.

HEALTHCARE

M&C Saatchi Sydney scored a Gold Spike for Australian Cancer Research Foundation ‘The one who will end cancer’, one of only three Golds awarded. Silver Spikes were won by Whybin\TBWA Melbourne for Medibank ‘The Skipping Girl’ and Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Nasonex Allergy ‘Enjoy earth’. M&C Saatchi Sydney scored a Bronze Spike for Blue Ball Foundation ‘Game of Balls’; as did GPY&R Brisbane for Brisbane Chiropractic Centre ‘Crack back cards’; and Helthy Thinking Group Sydney for Tasigna ‘Faces’.
