Australia scores a massive 37 finalists in the shortlist round of LIA Radio & Audio category

MenLikeUs.jpgLondon International Awards (LIA) has announced the shortlist for the Radio & Audio category and Australia has scored an impressive 37 finalists led by Leo Burnett Sydney with 10 finalists.

Leo Burnett Sydney’s Bundaberg Rum campaign which includes three spots ‘Men Like Us Like Brave’, ‘Men Like Us Like Polar Bears’ and ‘Men Like Us Like Tasting’ were shortlisted three times each and the campaign as a whole was shortlisted also.

Eardrum Sydney scored nine finalists including Malteasers ‘Chainsaw’, Risk ‘Fidel Castro’s Inauguration’ which was shortlisted once, ‘Hitler’s Battle of Germany Speech’ shortlisted twice and ‘Saddam’s Capture of George Bush’ also shortlisted twice. Eardrum’s ‘Bleeding’, ‘Burns’ and ‘Diabetic’ spots for St John Ambulance WA’s ‘Not The Time’ campaign via The Brand Agency each made the shortlist.

Marketforce Perth scored six finalists: Curtain University ‘Women in Engineering’ (x2); Tuart and Canning Colleges ‘Jerk Duties’ (x1), ‘Jerk Pickles’ (x2) and ‘Jerk Duties/Jerk Pickles/Jerk Car Radio (1). The Brand Agency scored four finalists (on top of the finalists already mentioned with Eardrum Sydney) for St John Ambulance WA’s ‘Not The Time’ campaign which included three executions ‘Bleeding’, ‘Burns’ and ‘Diabetic’. GPY&R Melbourne scored four finalists for Legacy ‘Letters of Gallipoli’ campaign which included ‘Any Day Now’ (x1); ‘Life in the Trenches’ (x1); ‘War’ (x1) and ‘Any Day Now; War;  Life in the Trenches; Aftermath; Hardened Men;  Caught in the Firing Line’ (x1). Flagstaff Studios scored two: one for 7-Eleven ‘Precious Nana’ and one for Tennis Australia ‘Get Closer to the Action: Ball of Fire’. BWM Dentsu Sydney was shortlisted once for SurfAid.org ‘Surfify’ and Southern Cross Austereo Perth was shortlisted once for Westspecs ‘Shart’.
