Australia scores six finalists at the shortlist stage of the LIA Awards TV/Cinema/Online category

Blue_Balls.jpgLondon International Awards (LIA) has announced the shortlist for the TV/Cinema/Online category.

Australia has scored six finalists with M&C Saatchi Sydney leading the pack for its ‘Game of Balls’ campaign for Testicular Cancer Awareness which has been shortlisted three times.

TV Group Photo (1).jpgOther finalists from Australia include Emotive Sydney for Optus ‘Did Ricky Gervais Just Do That To Optus; Leo Burnett Sydney for its JUST campaign ‘Glass Cleaner’, ‘Bath Cleaner’, ‘Burn Relief’, ‘Scented Laundry Boost’, ‘Shoe Polish’ and ‘Skin Care’, and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney for Toyota Hilux ‘Unbreakable Drivers’.

There are 83 entries shortlisted in the category, with the United States dominating the field with 34 shortlisted entries. The United Kingdom picked up 13 shortlisted entries, whilst Australia, Canada and Germany fared well with 6 each.

Overseeing this year’s jury was jury president and Aussie expat John Mescall, global ECD of McCann Worldgroup. The remaining jury members were Hideaki Aritoshi, Andy DiLallo, Justin Gomes, Kate Hyewon Oh, Ben Priest, Lo Sheung Yan, Stephan Vogel and Jens Waernes.

Winners will be announced November 10.
