OMD Sydney appoints Carat’s Laura Ashton to business director role to lead prestige brands

Laura Ashton (1).jpgOMD has today announced the appointment of Laura Ashton to the role of business director working across the prestige group of clients; Estee Lauder Group, Sony PlayStation, Intel, Selleys Yates, and Pacific Brands.

Ashton brings more than 10 years’ industry experience across both the US and Australia, with a solid background in strategy, insights and account service. She joins OMD from Carat, where she worked as business director across the clients Tiffany’s, Virgin Australia, and all Microsoft brands including X Box.

Laura brings a depth of experience across relevant categories in both strategy and insights, which make her the ideal candidate for this role.”

This hire follows the announced departure of Angela Swayn, Buchanan commented: “Angela has made a significant contribution to OMD in the various roles she has held with us over the years, and we wish her the very best going forward.”

Ashton will report to Buchanan, and her appointment is effective immediately.
