Hatton joins the Royals to head up the Melbourne creative department after Nick Cummins, creative partner, recently took on a national role based out of The Royals’ Sydney office.

Hatton has worked at many of the top agencies in the region, including Clemenger BBDO, GPY&R and Saatchis Auckland. Most recently he was at DDB Melbourne, where he was involved in numerous award-winning campaigns. In the last 18-months alone his work has been recognised at Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clios, AWARD and Spikes Asia – most notably his Gold Lion winning campaign for RSL Australia.

Says Hatton: “I’m very excited about the role and, in particular, the non-traditional nature of the agency. In its short life, the agency has grown exponentially and I’m looking forward to the prospect of taking us to the next level creatively. I’ve inherited a talented team with a great attitude and I believe that, together, we can create work that can make both the agency and its clients famous.”

Says Cummins: “We are thrilled to have Ant join the family. He has a passion for creativity and will bring a great skill set to the Royals. Ant shares our love for fresh integrated thinking and is a lovely bloke as well.”
