The floating bar is designed to reflect one of the hero images of Corona’s new ‘Postcards’ campaign, which begins rolling out nationally in November.

Corona_Sunset Bar_0051.jpgCreated in partnership with experiential specialists Wonder, the Sunset Bar will host 12 groups over four weekends, with various media outlets and brands hosting their own exclusive Sunset event. Hosts include magazines Monster Children, Stab and Surfing World and brands Raen, Nixon and Volcom.

MCC’s creative director Chris Searl, who also corona-aus-digital-outdoor.jpgshot the new images, says the Sunset Bar is a natural extension of the advertisements and the perfect way to launch the new Corona campaign.

Says Searl: “Working with the team from Wonder we’ve been able to bring the new campaign to life – relaxing out on Pittwater on a bar at sunset, cold Corona in hand, is a a great way to reflect the Corona lifestyle and highlight the Corona sunset moment.”

Titled ‘Postcards’, the new Corona campaign was shot on location in Oaxaca, Mexico, and is the fifth evolution of Corona’s hugely successful From Where You’d Rather Be campaign. The campaign will appear across OOH, cinema, print and digital from November.

The campaign also includes the release of ‘Los Buenos Tiempos’ a film by renowned surf filmmaker Taylor Steele, shot on location during the Postcards campaign shoot.

The campaign features four hero executions with one, ‘Sunset Bar’ inspiring the activation on Pittwater. The other three excutions will be be brought to life throughout the summer.
