Drumstick launches #YouLittleLegend campaign with Dame Edna + Jimmy Barnes via Leo Burnett

Dame Edna and Jimmy Barnes are the stars of the new #YouLittleLegend campaign via Leo Burnett and media agency ZenithOptimedia.

Says Barnes: “I’m stoked to be working with Drumstick and celebrating Aussie legends and I’m honoured to have been considered as one of them.”

The new flavours and the rivalry between Dame Edna and Barnsey on who is the biggest legend has been brought to life in a talk-show style content series which will hit screens in November .

 

Emma-Jane Collins, sales and marketing director at Peters Ice Cream – the home of Drumstick, said that the brand is delivering huge Aussie flavours to satisfy the big Aussie appetite for life.

 

Says Collins: “We’re gearing up for a legendary summer with the launch of the our new Glamington and One Tough Cookie Dough ice creams, created as a celebration of all those little legends out there.”

 

The content will be featured online via Premium Catch Up Online videos: SBS on Demand, Nine Jump In, Foxtel Go, Ten Play and Yahoo!7 as well as Youtube. There are a series of clips that will be staggered throughout the month of November including a ‘Call for Entries’ video where Dame Edna invites Australians to nominate a Little Legend (either themselves or someone they know) in order to win a summer’s worth of free Drumsticks and a ‘Legends’ clip where Dame Edna and Jimmy Barnes answers the question “How we became Legends.”

This content is complemented by outdoor across the country as well as a #YouLittleLegend social promotion across November and December. The social campaign gives you the chance to nominate your mates (or yourself) for being a #YouLittleLegend, again for the chance to win a Drumstick filled summer (up to 250 Drumsticks).
