Ikon Group Sydney appoints ex-OMD’s Sian Withers to newly created head of digital role

Sian_Withers_045 copy (1).jpgIn support of its burgeoning new client roster and as part of a longer term growth strategy, Ikon Group Sydney has appointed Sian Withers, in the newly created role of head of digital, providing digital leadership for its Sydney team.

Previously with OMD Sydney, Withers commences work immediately with a direct remit to focus on the areas of digital strategy, thought leadership and helping the team further extend its already established digital offering and programmatic capabilities.

Ikon’s chief investment ffficer, Bryan Magee said Ikon’s investment into digital channels is growing rapidly and an experienced digital leader was needed to provide a holistic point of view in the broader digital landscape.

 

Says Magee: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Sian’s calibre and professional experience to the team. Strong digital leadership is vital to the future growth of our agency and this is an important new role for Ikon. Our full service offering now has the digital leadership which will take the agency’s depth of experience to another level.”

 

With a career spanning nine years in the industry, Withers comes from OMD Sydney where she was interactive director heading up the digital offering for key clients including Qantas and Johnson & Johnson Pacific.

 

Prior to OMD, Withers worked at Initiative London, where she was charged with delivering digital innovation and integrated solutions across a range of clients and sectors including retail – Tesco UK, luxury – Patek Philippe and travel – Flight Centre and Malaysian Airlines.
