SDeRoche Headshot_10.14.jpgSummer DeRoche, whose work was selected earlier this year for screening at the coveted SXSW Festival, has been chosen by Film Victoria to complete a director’s attachment on the upcoming aliens crime-drama Hunters where she’s shadowing director Kriv Stenders.

From Valhalla Entertainment and executive producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) Hunters is based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter. The Matchbox Pictures/Universal Cable Pictures production follows a decorated Philadelphia police officer whose wife disappears. This leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists – shadowy figures that may or may not be from this world.

Says Andrew Coyle, executive producer, SO Productions: “Our core focus is on collaborating with the best talent to connect people through stories. Summer is an extremely passionate and talented director who’s dedicated to the development of her craft. We congratulate her on her ongoing success.”

Hunters is set to premier in the US on the SyFy Channel in 2016.  Summer will be available for directing jobs from January 2016.
