RABBIT LONG (1).jpgRabbit has announced that globally renowned director Tong Beng and producer Mike Salter have joined its ranks.

Recognised by Ad Age Global and the Gunn Report as one of the top 100 Directors in the World, Tong Beng’s work has been awarded Gold and Silvers at Cannes, AWARD, D&AD, the One Show and every at every major industry show.

While greatly admired as a visualist, Beng’s performance work is equally as natural and seductive, his cinematic style imbuing an inherent beauty to the subjects he shoots, be they high profile celebrities, real people, high art to life on the farm. And while his finished work is sure to be beautifully crafted and the visuals are memorable, ultimately his work is always about communicating the idea.

His body of work includes campaigns for major Australian and international brands that include QANTAS, Mercedes Benz, VW, Microsoft, Nutella, Canon, Dove and ANZ, more often than not with Mike Salter as his producer partner, a relationship that spans 20 years.

Salter’s company, Window Productions has been an institution amongst the industry for the past four decades and for years was Australasia’s most awarded company and the first Australian company to feature three times in the World’s Top Ten.

His decision to come to Rabbit is based on his relationships with EPs Lucas Jenner and Alex Hay and that while wanting to produce, he no longer wants to have the responsibility of running a company.

Says Hay: “We feel very lucky to have Beng and Mike joining Rabbit. Beng is a world class addition to our director roster and having Mike in the building with his experience in this industry is a huge asset.”

Says Jenner: “What seemed like a good idea at the CB Legends lunch has become better in reality. Within a week of his arrival, Mike has already executed a global production for an international hotel group. And the added plus – he’s as passionate about food and wine as he is about production.”
