Australia scores seven Global Awards at last night’s Bravo! Awards ceremony in Sydney

Bravo Awards Saatchi Health 2.jpgSeven Global Awards were presented to four Australian agencies at last night’s annual Bravo! Awards ceremony held by The Communications Council in Sydney led by Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney (left) with five Global Awards.

Running parallel with the Global Awards ceremony in New York, Bravo! celebrates the world’s best healthcare advertising, recognising the outstanding talent and achievements from the Asia Pacific region.

A total of 38 Global Awards were delivered internationally, with the Grand Global Award presented to USA agency, Downtown Partners for their work with Illinois Health Insurance.

Bravo Awards McCann Network of Year.jpgAgency of Year was awarded to UK-based Langland, and for the fourth year in a row Network of the Year went to McCann Health (left).

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney’s ‘Penny The Pirate’ campaign for Luxottica/OPSM won in the Integrated Campaigns, Direct Mail, Educational Awareness and Mobile categories. Saatchi & Saatchi also picked up another Global Award for Vivaxim ‘Noodle Critter’ in the Illustration category. Showpony scored a Global Award for SA Health ‘Hands Off Our Ambos’ and H&T Melbourne was awarded for SolvEasy ‘Australia’s Top Foot Model’ in Humour.

Bravo Awards Client of Year H_T1.jpgClient of the Year – a special Bravo! award judged by leading healthcare creative director, Phil Brown and Niccola Phillips, Head of Art at LIDA Australia and AWARD Committee member – was presented to the SolvEasy team at Ego Pharmaceuticals, which were nominated by their agency, H&T Melbourne.

In recognising the importance of this award, CEO of The Communications Council, Tony Hale, said: “In a tough category, here was a client who knew ordinary wouldn’t work.
