Guilty’s Lawrence Leung’s new coming-of-age feature film ‘Sucker’ to commence screenings

Picture1.jpgAdored comedian and director with Guilty Lawrence Leung (Choose Your Own Adventure) is behind this coming-of-age story of cons, cheats, love and lies. As Sucker rolls out into cinemas and with special Q&A screenings, writer Lawrence Leung, director Ben Chessell (Offspring; Rush) and YouTube sensation John Luc (mychonny) are beginning to attain awards and receive fantastic commendation from fans and critics alike.

This comedy-drama feature film is based on Leung’s critically acclaimed and award-winning solo stage show of the same name. With an exceptional cast including, Lily Sullivan (Galore; MIFF 2013; Mental; MIFF 2012), Kat Stewart (Offspring; Underbelly), Shaun Micallef (Mad As Hell), British legend Timothy Spall (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; Sweeney Todd) as The Professor and all filmed within the glorious surrounds of Melbourne and regional Victoria.

With such remarkable reviews and acclaim so early on in the official release of the film, this feature is now starting to gain reward by winning ‘Best Feature’ at the Inaugural St. Lawrence International Film Festival and 3rd in the ‘Audience Award’ at the Comedy Cluj Film Festival, Romania and the cast and crew are elated to say the least.
