NoActivity_Landscape_Keyart.jpgFollowing being named ‘Best Comedy of the Year’ in the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age last week, Stan has announced that it will commission Jungle to produce a second season of the critically acclaimed comedy No Activity.

Directed by Jungle’s Trent O’Donnell, No Activity is an unscripted comedy that follows the peripheral players in a major police sting operation. Based loosely on the biggest ever drug bust in Australian history, the day-to-day realities of cops and crims are brought hilariously to life by some of Australia’s best comic actors.

Brimming with Australia’s finest comedic talent, No Activity has Detectives Hendy and Stokes (Patrick Brammall, Darren Gilshenan) kill time on a stakeout as their lives crumble around them. Frequent radio updates of “no activity” puts them in touch with unlikely dispatch officers Carol and April (Genevieve Morris, Harriet Dyer). Meanwhile an odd assortment of criminals (Dan Wylie, David Field, Sam Simmons) have their best and worst brought out in the boredom of disorganised crime. Guest appearances by Jake Johnson, Tim Minchin, and Kat Stewart, round out an original Australian vision of what can sometimes be the true activity behind the headlines – none at all.

No Activity Series 2 will be going into production in 2016.
