FullSizeRender.jpegClive Burcham, owner and founder of The Conscience Organisation (TCO), has bought back the 40% stake that STW Communications owned in the business after an eight year partnership. The deal, which gives Burcham 100% ownership of TCO, takes effect immediately.

Says Burcham: “I suppose I have a reputation for being an accelerator and quite a free spirit. The buy back offers more freedom to invest in our people, in training and in future opportunities.

“I’ve met a lot of great people through STW, people who remain good friends or involved in my business interests. Mike Connaghan has always been great to deal with, honourable, and hat tip to him on how he’s managed 80 businesses. The strategy of divesting the business makes complete sense.

“We’ve already started a new era of TCO and have some exciting news to share in the coming weeks. At the moment our offices in Redfern house four different business offerings. We’re looking at things more holistically now across these businesses and are joining the dots and matchmaking clients. There are already a few marriages and love children in the works.

“As with most businesses these days, campaign work is one part of the equation. There is plenty of work in developing new business models, innovation, NPD and the process of creative iteration. We all know this is the age of agility and we’ve been lucky enough to change our approach as fast as Facebook updates its app.”

TCO was founded 14 years ago as a branded content agency with Coca-Cola as its foundation client. TCO has evolved into a consultancy, working more as a business partnership with clients to build their capabilities in new ways to influencing consumer behaviour. Those include Nestle, Westpac, ATC, and Contiki.
