The move sees Kennedy reunited with his former ECDs James Burchill and Nancy Hartley, as Rumble, the agency formed with managing partner Remy Brassac, prepares to celebrate its second birthday.

Says Burchill: “Teaming dynamic senior creatives with rising stars has always been a winning formula for us. Mikey is not only a powerhouse creative, he’s also a great mentor and we’re delighted to have him join the team.”

Kennedy is a veteran of GPY&R Brisbane, where he was creative group head, Clemenger and Mojo Brisbane, and Ogilvy & Mather Sydney. Most recently, he was associate CD at Sapient Melbourne and CD at Guerilla. Kennedy is also well known as a Masters in Advertising lecturer at QUT, and has shared his passion for writing as a Communications Council Copywriting lecturer for almost a decade.

Kennedy says joining Rumble was an easy decision.

Says Kennedy: “You can see why Rumble is enjoying such success. Their approach is a breath of fresh air, the team is great and the client list is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and varied I’ve had the pleasure to work on.”

Rumble kicks off 2016 with new work underway for clients including News Corp, Brisbane Festival, Sekisui House, Flight Centre, Hemingway’s Brewery Port Douglas, Cancer Council Queensland, RSL Care, Triumph, City of Ipswich and Tourism Tropical North Queensland, to name a few.
