Hakuhodo Inc. set to host this year’s Young Lotus Workshop at 11:30am Sat, Mar 19 at AdFest 2016

HAKUHODO HOSTS YOUNG LOTUS 2016.jpgAdFest has announced that Hakuhodo Inc. will host this year’s Young Lotus Workshop, a two-and-a-half-day workshop on Saturday 19th March at 11:30am, in which creative teams from around the region will learn from some of the network’s top executives before being presented with a live brief and just 24-hours to make the deadline.

Hakuhodo Inc. will bring together some of its most talented creative leaders to mentor and instruct this year’s Young Lotus teams. Kentaro Kimura, co-CEO and executive creative director at Hakuhodo Kettle Inc in Tokyo will be chairman of this year’s Young Lotus Workshop, which has the theme: ‘You can leap higher than you think: 5 ways to create innovative ideas’.

Says Kimura: “We will firstly decode the secret to how Hakuhodo Inc. makes big creative jumps by sharing five fundamental Creative Alchemy skills. Then, we will challenge the Young Lotus participants to try and create innovative ideas for very difficult problems using these five Alchemy skills. It’s a tough challenge. We can’t wait to see the ideas the different Young Lotus teams dream up this year.”

Kimura will be joined by Morihiko Hasebe, executive creative director at Hakuhodo Inc; Elvis Sequeira, chief operating officer at Hakuhodo Percept India; Lucy Novita, creative director at Hakuhodo Indonesia; and Takahiro Hosoda, creative director at TBWA\HAKUHODO.

Says Kimura: “Our client’s problems and the difficulties we face in our society are becoming more challenging each year. Only innovative ideas can solve these problems. This means that we, the professionals making and implementing new ideas, have more opportunities than ever before. So now, where do the truly innovative ideas come from? At Hakuhodo, they come from ‘Creative Alchemy’, a magical method to come up with unexpected and brilliant solutions. It’s a method we’d love to share with the Young Lotus teams at AdFest this year.”

On Saturday 19th March, 11:30am, Hakuhodo Inc. will present a session called: ‘Hakuhodo Presents Young Lotus 2016’. This session will feature the top Young Lotus teams that create the best ideas in response to Hakuhodo’s brief. AdFest delegates will have the chance to vote for their favourite team to determine the Young Lotus Popular Vote, and the winners of the Young Lotus and the Popular Vote will be revealed during the AdFest 2016 Lotus Awards.
