Kate_Edwards (1).jpgFounder and managing director of Kontended, Kate Edwards, returns from maternity leave this week to take up the newly created role of chief executive officer of Australian independent content strategy and activation company Kontended.

Edwards will commence in the CEO role from March 1st, 2016.

Shae Constantine, who stepped in to fill Edwards’ shoes while she was on maternity leave, will remain at Kontended as general manager and head of studio. Under the tenure of Constantine, Kontended has gone from strength to strength, with new client signings including Mamamia Women’s Network, Octogon and SBS, as well as maintaining the company’s strong existing client base.

Says Edwards on returning to Kontended: “I am excited to return to Kontended – my first baby – and see all the amazing projects the team has worked on in my absence. I’m also thrilled that Shae has decided to remain with us as general manager, giving me time to work more closely with our key client, distribution and publishing partners. 2016 is shaping up to be a huge year for content marketing and Kontended is at the top of its game with the best people in place to maximise our collective success.”

Says Constantine: “It’s been a fantastic 12 months for the business and having Kate back as CEO will only further propel Kontended forward.  I’m thrilled to be staying on as general manager where I can continue to guide our fantastic team and help Kate achieve Kontended’s goals for 2016 and beyond.  We are all looking forward to rolling our up sleeves and working even harder for our clients and partners to create amazing campaigns.”

Kontended was founded by Edwards in 2011 and has since grown to become Australia’s leading independent content creation and activation company with a list of clients that includes XBOX, Kennards Hire, Hachette, USP, MediaVest and many more.
