Chess has joined Mammal from his previous position as executive creative director at MJW. He replaces Mammal co-founder Gary Cunliffe who has left to pursue interests in New York.

Chess brings a strong, strategically-underpinned creative approach to Mammal, and is looking forward to working with managing partner Adrian Leppard to continue to evolve the business.

Says Chess: “Adrian and I have known one another since my early days at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney.

“When the opportunity came up to work with him again, and in a business comprised of talent who are doers as well as thinkers, it felt like exactly the right thing at exactly the right time.”

Says Leppard: “Luke has already begun sharpening and refining our creative approach and product, as well as working towards a new high score on the agency’s pinball machine. It’s a great time to be at Mammal.”
