Sports Medicine Australia WA educates Aussies on sport concussions in new work via Adcorp

You CanSports Medicine Australia WA Branch has launched a new campaign about sport concussion via Adcorp Perth.

The aptly named ‘You Can’t See a Concussion’ TV campaign is based on an insight that the majority of sport related concussions don’t involve a loss of consciousness. The ad shows how easily a concussion can occur on a sporting field and how common an event this is for Australian kids.

The aim of the campaign is to educate players, coaches, parents and spectators of community level sports how to recognise when a concussion has taken place and to follow the right course of action; remove the player to be checked out.

Sports Medicine Australia WA Branch (SMAWA) with the support of the Department of Sport and Recreation has implemented and managed the Concussion in Sport Education Project since July 2013.
