A Brilliant Genocide has taken documentary feature films into an arousing, extraordinary chapter. Australian director Ebony Butler (Atlantic Star Productions), has created a film which centres around the Yoweri Museveni administration and their diversion campaign to defeat the rebellion (Lord’s Resistance Army), while actually undertaking mass elimination of Uganda’s innocent Acholi people.

A Brilliant Genocide has exposed the savagery, while revealing the truth about how an internationally recognised and buttressed Government is raping, abusing and murdering its own. This has been happening since 1986 when the Museveni’s army took governance. Additionally, the film identifies Western benefactor countries, which continue to finance the Museveni Government and have chosen to overlook the war and obliteration, which is partly shaped by their financial contributions.

This captivating and critical story has been formally selected for multiple international festivals, catapulting Australian talent. A few of the official selections are held by; Marché Du Film Festival De Cannes; DC Independent Film Festival; Los Angeles Woman’s International Film Festival; New York Film Festival; Palm Beach International Film Festival; Washington Human Rights Film Festival and A Brilliant Genocide has won ‘Best Documentary Feature’ at the 2016 Hollywood Independent Documentary Awards.

Thankyou Economy asks communities to support and generate consciousness, with regard to significant and sometimes overlooked local and global issues. Its portfolio of successful productions include campaigns involving Hagar; Bikes 4 Life; Brainwave; Do It In A Dress; Mission Australia; Save The Children and many more.

Thankyou Economy is immensely gratified by A Brilliant Genocides international reception and the film recently received reaction from congressman Sam Johnson’s office as Rachel H. Harber says: “I saw the screening of your film last Friday and it was heart wrenching. Thank you so much for the work you are doing to share the story of the Ugandan people.”

It is the objective of Butler and this film’s contributors to make a progressive difference to the Acholi people. Furthermore, to expose the Ugandan Government’s atrocities, continue conversation and provoke a critical uprising.

Says Jason Byrne, executive producer (Guilty and +Ape) on A Brilliant Genocide: “Ebony Butler is courageous on a level almost incomprehensible to so many of us. She single handily Filmed, Edited and Directed a documentary about genocide in Africa.

“The work is affecting the debate on an international scale, she continues to bring attention to the plight of the Acholi people and she is now touring the festivals of the world. I’m in awe.”

A Brilliant Genocide is an unrelated derivative of Kony 2012 and has become a marked, powerhouse documentary feature. A devastating message of transnational corruption and genocide is currently being exposed.
