At AnalogFolk, Hourahine will take overall leadership of the agency’s strategic output, digital transformation, social and content marketing, customer experience, brand and communications strategy, and business innovation. He will also plug into the newly announced global data intelligence offering, AnalogFolk DNA, in expanding the strategic capabilities of the Sydney office.

In his previous agency role Hourahine was head of strategy at Razorfish. He played a major role in securing Qantas, Foxtel, Australia Post and Samsung as clients, helped Razorfish become the first Digital Agency in Australia to win an Effie, and developed the digital strategy for the New South Wales Government.

Since leaving Razorfish to take a brief industry sabbatical, Hourahine has launched successful retail start-up, Splashsuits, and has been lecturing on Strategic Leadership at the University of Sydney Business School and at Miami Adschool.

Hourahine’s diverse 15 year career comprises roles including futures editor at Leo Burnett London, Nike trends consultant, a Future Foundation Global Envoy, board member of the APG, and speaking appointments at events such as The Edinburgh TV Festival on the future of content.

Says Matt Robinson, managing director, AnalogFolk: “For the last 12 months we’ve been searching the globe for someone who can help take our strategic offering, and our clients businesses, to the next level. We’re delighted to have found someone of Ben’s caliber. Not only is he a huge talent, but he’s also a terrific human being, and so will be a great fit for AnalogFolk’s unique culture and our progressive clients.”

Says Hourahine: “I am really excited to be joining the guys on this incredible journey. They have achieved remarkable growth in such a short period of time both here and around the world. The talent and capability here is excellent. It really is a unique success story in an industry that is still finding its feet in the future and I am looking forward to becoming part of it.”
