ADG2 (1).jpgIn a reflection of its new focus as a creative projects company, Mr Smith directors, Peter Carstairs and Curtis Hill have scored nominations in this year’s Australian Directors Guild Awards that span both Film and TVC categories.

Carstairs and Hill earned a joint nomination for Best Direction in a Music Video for The Rubens clip, Hallelujah while Carstairs received a second nod for Best Direction in a TVC for Doritos Ultrasound, the most popular,  engaging and shared commercial at the 2016 Super Bowl, which has so far attracted more than 90 million online views.

Hill meanwhile, has just completed a major television campaign for Milo out of Ogilvy Sydney, which launched across Australia and New Zealand this month.

In what’s already a successful year at the ADG Awards for both women and TVC directors, the Mr Smith duo joins a list of nominees that includes Emma Freeman, Tim Bullock, Michael Spiccia and Ian Reiser.

The ADG Awards ceremony will be held on 6 May 2016 in Melbourne. The full list of nominees can be seen here.
