The Adland Adventures parodies nature videos taking us through the wild advertising wilderness
US agency The Variable has created ‘The Adland Adventures’, a mostly comedic expedition through the wild advertising wilderness. The six parodies of nature videos – ‘AAE vs GCD’, ‘Design Process’, Perilous Emails, ‘Legal’, ‘Eavesdropping’ and ‘Nocturnal Desperation’ – are accompanied by David Attenborough-style voiceovers describing the action as though it were happening in an advertising agency.

Hahaha. I like legal
Bigger agencies would be afraid to put their names to output like this.
Scrappier agencies do scrappier things and I applaud it.
Thing is, when you have complete freedom, unbound by client restrictions, you’re displaying the best you’re capable of.
I’d never put this down because it’s an agency proactively having a good time.
And they’re not bad.
Most places take themselves far too seriously to do this. Just saying, when you put your name on a personal project, it represents identity and capability.
Wish more agencies would share their personality through personal work like this.
