Fiona-Caird3 (1).jpgFiona Caird, most recently group business director, has been promoted to general manager of Y&R Group Brisbane, effective immediately. Caird’s promotion follows over a decade working at GPY&R Brisbane across all agency clients.

Says Phil McDonald, regional CEO of Y&R Group ANZ: “Fiona is one of the most dedicated and respected people in the market. There isn’t a worthier person to be elevated to this role than Fiona – she is an incredible asset to the agency and one of the most awarded account management people in the country. She has been instrumental in many of our new business wins and has had a major hand in our creative success in recent years, in fact Fiona was the account lead on Melanoma Patients Australia’s ‘Melanoma Likes Me’ campaign which recently won the ‘Grandy for Good’ at the ANDY Awards in New York as well as 5 pencils last week at D&AD.”

Caird will partner with joint ECDs Brendan Greaney and Andrew Thompson as well as Chris Platt, head of campaign planning, to continue to build on the office’s global reputation for great work.

Says Caird: “I have been with GPY&R for more than 10 years now and know our clients’ businesses intimately. I love the work I do here at GPY&R and I’m thrilled about the opportunity to lead such a talented team in Brisbane.”

Caird’s appointment follows Rob Hudson’s departure from the agency after less than 2 months in the role of MD of Y&R Group Brisbane.
