David Droga color-thumb-400x266-86070.jpgAussie expat Dave Droga, the New York-based creative chairman of Droga5, is ranked 62 on Adweek’s 2nd annual Power List, headed by Facebook CEO and chairman Mark Zuckerberg.

Droga and Rupert Murdoch (ranked #9) are the only Aussie-born executives on the list.

Droga5’s revenue is estimated at $126 million with 600 employees.

Adweek’s rationale reads: This Aussie native reigns supreme as Madison Avenue’s most iconic creative figure since Alex Bogusky left the business a half-decade ago. No wonder Hillary Clinton tapped 47-year-old Droga’s perennially hot shop. For the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Droga5 produced spots detailing various women’s lives and explaining why Clinton is the best choice. Another ad put the candidate in sharp focus, using four decades of Clinton’s own words to illustrate that she has stayed true to her core principles. Among its many plaudits in 2015, Droga5 was named Agency of the Year at both Cannes (among independents) and The One Show, and was honored as the most effective indie shop at the Effies.
