Rutherford – or Rubba – as he is more properly known, is a Melbourne industry veteran with a heavyweight set of credential most of you are already familiar with, including ECD of DDB, CCO Publicis Mojo and a host of mantlepiece trinkets any creative would be wildly jealous of. Less well known is his history of industry involvement and philanthropic work across various entities over the years, most importantly, The Snowdome Foundation in honour of his daughter Chloe who died of Leukaemia three years ago.

Rutherford is delighted to be in a position to help the MADC continue its great work celebrating and promoting creativity in Melbourne: “The MADC has been part of my life since I started in advertising. Melbourne has punched far above its weight creatively on the world stage (and continues to do so) and the MADC awards were fantastic acknowledgement of that. Now the club has honed its direction to celebrate all things  ‘Melbourne’ (creative, influence and inspiration-wise), it was easy to say yes. Taking over the considerable shoe size / rock credentials of Jim and Cuz is a downright honour.”

The club has been left in great shape due in no small part to Ingram and Couzens who oversaw the growth of MADC Presents, the birth of the new MADC Star award along with a bunch of new plans. Grant joins MADC Committee members Annie Price JWT, Tony Prysten McCann, Tracy Proposch Pro-Duce, Nick McDonald A3 Recruitment and Helene Nicol Mr Smith.
