GHlogo_RGB_ContactsStack (1).jpgLiquor & Gaming NSW has announced today that newly created agency United Yeah has been handed creative, digital and campaign activation duties for the organisation’s flagship event Responsible Gambling Awareness Week 2016.

United Yeah was engaged after the agency worked with Liquor & Gaming NSW on a previous project. The organisation found the agency’s collaborative process produced strong results.

Responsible Gambling Awareness Week is an annual event which targets the friends and family of problem gamblers. The campaign will be executed across cinema, print, social media and mobile, with a merchandise component. Responsible Gambling Awareness Week (RGAW) will run in New South Wales from 23-29 May 2016.

Says Jenny Crocker, senior communications officer, office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing NSW: “Raising the issue of a person’s gambling problem can be very difficult and embarrassing, but a conversation is the first step to recovery. United Yeah broke through those barriers with concepts that were funny and yet profound. It is also an exciting move into using new platforms to connect with our audience. We can’t wait to get this campaign into market as we know it will make an enormous difference to many who are dealing with the terrible outcomes of a gambling addiction.”

Says James Anderson, co-founder, United Yeah: “The issues around problem gambling are more relevant today than ever. We’re excited to be working with Liquor & Gaming NSW as they have a real appetite for finding innovative ways to communicate their message. We’re proud to be partnering with them on this great initiative.”
