The Royal Melbourne Show picks Match Media Melbourne as its new media agency partner
Match Media Melbourne opened its doors two months ago with a roster of clients and today it has announced its first win, the Royal Melbourne Show.
The Royal Melbourne Show conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is Victoria’s largest and most iconic annual community event and attracts around 450,000 visitors on average to Melbourne Showgrounds in September each year.
Match Media has experience in developing media plans for agricultural shows as its Sydney office handles the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. It was a result of this relationship that Match was recommended to RASV to also handle the Royal Melbourne Show. The agency will be responsible for all media and will begin working on the account immediately as the 2016 Royal Melbourne is being held from 17-27 September.
Says Brad Jenkins, general manager of marketing and business development at RASV: “Match were recommended to RASV by our counter parts in NSW and there will be great value in having the one media agency handling both major capital city Royal Shows. We believe Match have the team and relevant experience to add significant value to our marketing program for the Royal Melbourne Show.”
Says Garth Moring, client partner, Match Media Melbourne: “We’re really excited to extend our relationship with the Royal Agricultural Societies to include Victoria. It’s an important step having just opened our Melbourne office and we’re very keen to work with Brad Jenkins and his team.”
Says James Simmons, COO, Match Media Australia: “We are delighted at how positively received Match has been in Melbourne, from both a client and staff perspective and we are keen to expand our footprint there. This is a great start.”
