IMG_2458a.jpgCelebrating The Festival de Cannes doesn’t mean you have to go all the way to Cannes, does it? This year Cutting Edge and Nylon Studios celebrated in true Sydney style, bringing the Rosé to the people.

The ‘No Cannes Do’ luncheon was held on Friday at SMH Good Food Guide Two Hats Awardee, Ester Restaurant, Chippendale, where over 45 of the industry’s most hard at work shook off the southern hemisphere chills over a glass of the French Riviera’s finest.

IMG_2450a.jpgSays Mark Beckhaus, director of music, Nylon Studios: “We wanted to salute the people that stay home and work through the festival. They’re just as entitled to a massive rosé hangover.”

Says Samantha Daley, executive producer, Cutting Edge: “It’s our way of saying we appreciate all of the hard earned effort our clients and creative partners go to in order IMG_2440a.jpgto create Cannes winning work.”

In attendance this year were folks from 13&CO, AJF, Archibald, BWM, Collider, Finch, GPYR, Havas, Iris, JWT, Leo Burnett, Photoplay, Rapid, Saatchis and With Collective.

Whilst the warmth of the festival sun may have been missing, the oh so chic, oh so French music of Viva certainly helped put a IMG_2462a.jpgglow on the faces of those far from the de la Croisette this year.
