Guilty and The Weinstein Company premiere short film Messiah at Sydney Film Festival
Last night The Weinstein Company and Guilty premiered the short film Messiah, written and directed by Damian Walshe-Howling.
Walshe-Howling and producer Rohan Timlock, were selected among thousands of global entries as part of the 3rd annual Lexus Short Film series to create the piece.
Messiah stars David Gulpilil in classic form, and played to a full and delighted house at The State Theatre last night.
The film is a playful collision of cultures, as a hapless Irishman and his Parisian girlfriend get more than they bargained for when they encounter a particularly mischievous stranger in the spectacular Australian wilderness.
Messiah was shot in the glorious landscapes of the East Kimberley region of WA.

I know advertising spends a silly amount of money to film one gag but ads generally only take away 30 seconds of your time.
Congratulations Damian and Rohan. Great achievement.
Unfortunately haven’t been there. When can I expect a youtube release?
