My Dog launches Doggy Bag home delivery service via Clemenger BBDO Melbourne
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and My Dog have created Doggy Bag – a gourmet home delivery service for Sydney and Melbourne’s most discerning four legged friends.
With more Australians than ever working long hours, home delivery services from fine-dining restaurants have become hugely popular. But no one was catering to man’s best friend.
“With less free time, we’re seeing a global shift towards home delivery. We saw this as an opportunity to create a partnership with Australia’s finest food delivery service, foodora, to create a new way to distribute dog food,” said Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group Account Director, Deanne Constantine.
Foodora integrated My Dog into their digital platform and created a My Dog option at the checkout. Because mealtimes are best spent shared, your pooch can also have top notch nosh delivered when you order your home delivery from some of Australia’s best restaurants.
The foodora delivery rider brings your delicious meal and a beautifully packaged ‘Doggy Bag’ for your pooch. Real proof of the brand promise to ‘Love them back’.
An initial trial has been run in Sydney and Melbourne with great success and will be explored as a nationwide rollout as foodora’s delivery locations expand.

It took 16 agency heads to create that??
No…
It took 16 agency people to do a google search and copy a pre-existing idea that is already in market with a brand wrapper around it.

My Dog is fancy-wrapped junk food for dogs as well.
Is this what we’ve come to, to try and win an award?
Aw, damn. If I was the owned of doggybagdelivery.com.au i’d be pretty keen to sue for copyright infringement and damage of my brand via association with a cheap-o canned product.
s’not that bad.., seems like it’s more an idea around a smart use of media rather than anything else. Looks pretty too. Buy hey, its clems: I’ll just go with the fuck you your shit.
So, because it has the same, well-worn name as some other random Internet website, people are calling for the brand to be sued? Grow up kids. Nice little idea for some PR. Clever use of media. Move on.
Wouldn’t mind going for a walk instead.
Whilst the apparent rip off ain’t good, I’m more saddened by the societal factors than make such an idea seem like a good one.
Seriously, we’re so lazy/busy/self important that we need to waste money on getting dog food delivered?
Crap for the sake of making crap. You can now get a creative wanking in the back of an uber delivered to your client presentation.
