Sequence Melbourne office.jpgAward-winning creative outfit The Sequence Group has opened a new operation in Melbourne, Australia. The new studio will partner with Sequence’s Vancouver headquarters on existing animation and film projects, as well as serving Australia and Asia’s booming creative sectors.

Sequence Melbourne’s output will continue in the same spirit as Sequence Vancouver’s artful approach to animation, design and VFX for advertising, film, and video games. The studio will further augment the overall company strengths in cinematics and gripping expansions to established IPs.

Says Bicevskis: “Sequence has become known across Canada and the US for its distinct artistic approach, and I’m truly excited to be introducing that imagination and originality back home in Australia. I’ve always been struck by the unique nature of Sequence’s visual style, the talent of its staff, and its amazing work culture.”

Says Ian Kirby, founder and executive creative director, Sequence: “The new studio is an opportunity for us to retain Luke’s remarkable creative vision while expanding further into the Australian creative market. It also presents an exciting opportunity to discover new talent and work with agencies that share the common goal of producing unique, exciting, and narrative-led content.”

Recent high-profile Sequence projects include Star Wars Commander, Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2 Civil War, and the feature-length animated adaptation of video game novel Halo: The Fall of Reach, to which the Melbourne team made a significant contribution.
