BWM Dentsu, Sydney boosts creative department with hiring of Denny Handlin and Jon Foye
BWM Dentsu, Sydney has further strengthened its creative credentials with the appointment of award-winning creatives Jon Foye and Denny Handlin, who have joined as head of art and creative group head respectively.
Foye joins from MJW, where he worked on the awarded NRL ‘State of Mind’ campaign. Handlin joins from Clemenger BBDO Sydney, where he worked on the successful Whiskas ‘Catstacam’ campaign and the most recent Tourism Australia campaign.
Together, Foye and Handlin’s work has been recognised at nearly every major ad award show, with their portfolio spanning a number of iconic brands, including McDonalds, Virgin Australia, Canon, Foxtel, Coca Cola, IBM, Pepsi co and Diageo.
In his spare time, Foye is also an acclaimed children’s picture book illustrator. Last year he was awarded Best-Designed Children’s Illustrated Book at the 2015 Australian Book Design Awards for the successful ‘Mike I Don’t Like’ picture book.
Asheen Naidu, BWM Dentsu, Sydney executive creative director, said he was looking forward to working with Jon and Denny: “We’re very excited to welcome Jon and Denny to the BWM Dentsu family. They both bring a wealth of experience to the team and have a very unique way of looking at things, which is evident in the great work they’ve produced over the years. I have no doubt that with Jon and Denny on board, we will be able to take our creative product to the next level.”
Handlin said it was a no-brainer to join BWM Dentsu: “We’re incredibly excited to be joining the team at BWM Dentsu. Both Ash and Alex Carr are super smart, creative, passionate, and
have a real vision for where the agency is going. We can’t wait to get started. We’re also pumped about working together. Handlin and Foye…it’s got a nice ring to it. Kind of sounds like a grand piano manufacturing company.”

Denny Handlin is an Australian hero!
Congrats Ash, great hire.
Go Denny you beautiful man you.
I found a Denny today
Just laying on the ground.
But it’s not just a Denny
This little man I’ve found.
Found Dennies come from heaven
that’s what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels tossed them down
Oh, how I loved that story!
He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a Denny down,
sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown.
So don’t pass by that Denny
When you’re feeling blue.
It may be a Denny from heaven
That an Angel’s tossed to you.
Denny, so good to see you’ve found a new partner!
That last guys who designed the Britney Spears album cover?! Jeez… talk about an angry old man.
I love your ears.
Nice one Jon!
Nice one Jon
They’re lucky to have your gentle thumbs.
Fasten your seat belts for bad briefs with no insights guys.
Looks like another good hire but until BWM fixes the other 2/3rd’s of the agency it will continue to produce mediocre work.
Don’t let the tough stickers fool ya. Denny Handlin is one of the nicest guys in advertising
Great hire Ash, and good move Den.
Good one Foye. Congrats.
Onya Jonnooooooooo
Great hires – top talented lads
Are there any female creatives at BWM?
Nice one bruvva!
Nice one Denny. Best of luck mate.
‘Worked with both, admire both, ‘would hire both.
So ignore the BWM naysayers and their sad agenda, lads – part of being a real creative is involving yourself in the brief and finding the insight for yourself, isn’t it?
Anyway, you’ll do fine – well done – give my regards to Rob, Paul and Fat Kev.
Denny is one of the most talented, genuine and second-most-handsome ginger bloke’s (after his old partner) in advertising
