Melbourne art director, Nicholas Desira, swam from England to France this morning.
Desira, who’s worked at various Melbourne agencies over the years including Clemenger, Ogilvy and Big Red, completed the swim in some horrendous conditions with the very impressive time of 13 hours 55 minutes and 23 seconds.
Desira qualified for the Channel crossing after completing a series of long distance open water swims and many early morning hit-outs with the Brighton Icebergs.
His Instagram account #desiradoesdover follows the preparation for this very inspirational and admirable feat.

Never cease to amaze me what people can do when they want it bad enough.
Hats off Nick, awesome effort.
Most strenuous thing I’ve done today is wait in line for a coffee.

Typical art director. Goes left right right left up down down up when all that was needed was a straight line !
