The Magnificent Itch scores two awards with SGCH ‘Morgan’s Story’ film + Airbnb commercial
The Magnificent Itch has won two Awards at the Australian Effects and Animation Festival.
The Bronze Award for SGCH comes as part of a ongoing and successful international festival run for the film, which has seen it nominated for and win many awards.
The short tells the true story of Morgan, a SGCH success story, which has been used to promote the groups’ work in community housing.
The Itch also won a Special Merit for their animation work on the Cannes Lion winning Airbnb A Different Paris from TBWA Singapore. The commercial saw The Itch model, rig, and animate more than 40 characters and props in CG. Each cycle or spin of the Zoetrope was 38 frames long. Each frame was a separate character that was 3D printed, painted and shot on a huge Zoetrope to create the animated effect.
