The most entertaining place on Earth: Telstra Entertainment unveils new work via R/GA Sydney
Following on from the recent successful brand refresh, Telstra has launched a new campaign for Telstra Entertainment, the brand’s home and mobile entertainment offering, in partnership with R/GA Sydney, OMD and Wellcom.
It marks the first time the brand has ever gone to market with a message that unites Telstra’s entire entertainment offering under one platform.
The fully integrated campaign highlights how Telstra’s range of the best entertainment brands on the best network allow anyone to make where they are ‘The Most Entertaining Place on Earth’.
Says Jeremy Nicholas, executive director, Telstra Retail Marketing: “We wanted to build on the momentum from our recent brand refresh and demonstrate the superiority of our entertainment offering both at home and on the go.
“The creative heroes our sports, entertainment and music partners and truly embodies the unrivalled entertainment experience on Australia’s best network that you receive as a Telstra customer.”
Says Gavin McLeod, executive creative director, R/GA Sydney: “It’s been a very collaborative process with Telstra and an array of other partners. We’re extremely proud of the work we’ve done and the relationships we’ve created along the way.”

Good to see it….?
great to see it……come to life….here
Didn’t you get the memo? No work is the new work.
As much as it is a beautiful spot (nice work Gav & co at R/GA), am i missing something here as it looks like they are just advertising all the stuff i can do with any internet connection?
Just a rehash of The Monkeys work with an awful voiceover, doesn’t really flow either.
So this is what R/GA does now, ads, average ads. Shame.
I think it’s cos it ties in with all their new offers i.e. 3 months free
Nice to see Telstra getting some work on the board. Optus seemed to be winning that war…In terms of the spot I think it’s visually pretty stunning, good to see R/GA getting good work out not just staff updates.
Atleast it’s not another montage ad. Not bad.

Ask any ‘digital native’ if they’d rather make a tvc or a never visited landing page, a thoroughly skippable FB post, or perhaps a mind numbing nsta story…same answer.
Wasn’t this a live brief for the ADMA students creative class? Seems like a couple of their ideas put together?
Montage is the new advertising people
This is great work given how hard it is to get anything through their 7000 rounds of approval.
You would think that the with a name like R/GA above the door this would be better. The whole industry has been holding its breath for brilliant work out of this shop but nothing year after year. Either the clients won’t have it or the creative leadership has to change.
What does R/GA’s John Holloway say about this? The man who keeps saying advertising is dead.
Sorry to say John but this is advertising at it’s most traditional awful best from the agency you work at.
According to Jon, R/GA doesn’t make Ads as Advertising is dead… But what?
HAHAHAH

I’ve worked onTelstra in the past. This is good work for a client that is not easy.
Negativity is making this comment section the least entertaining place on earth.
Using TV to highlight all of the entertainment offerings that are not on TV, hope to see this live creatively beyond the 30″
Why they brought back the advertising woman to run the business.. They want to make ads..
Carbon copy of numerous previous Telstra and Foxtel work.
Does this stuff actually work? I zoned out immediately…i hope consumers do too.
Thoroughly unimaginative.
Well said.
And how do these agencies make money?
