Paddy Morahan and Jo Gray (1).jpgThe Works have announced the promotion of Paddy Morahan to group general manager, a newly created role for the agency following its recent launch of Australia’s first social messaging company ‘On Message’. Earlier in 2016, The Works also set up Fifty Patricks – a separate content company. Morahan will oversee operations and management for all 3 companies in the group.

Joanna Gray is named as general manager of The Works and is responsible for managing and driving the unique model of creatives on the forefront.

Says Morahan: “We have been delivering great results for our clients through the agency’s unique creative model. This has allowed us to be responsive and has contributed to our significant growth. I am looking forward to building the wider team and exploring new opportunities to further expand the businesses.”

Says Gray, who joined The Works in 2014 as head of project management: “We’ve had a fantastic run of new business and creative success. I’m excited to take on this role and help lead the agency in what is a really exhilarating time for our industry. The solutions we generate are so creative and broad, my job is to get the best out of all our people and continue to grow our fantastic morale and vision for how we’ll deliver excellence for our clients.”

Says Kevin Macmillan, founder, The Works: “I keep hearing about agencies diversifying and restructuring in order to keep up with the ever changing industry. The fact is, the old agency model isn’t cutting it. Our model, where business minded creative people lead our clients’ business, is so agile that it means we can stay ahead of the game. But it wouldn’t be possible for our model to stand out and deliver for our clients without a well-oiled machine keeping things humming. In Paddy and Jo we have two of the best people I’ve ever come across.

“They are both leaders and importantly, they reflect The Works culture which ours is the strongest of any company I know. We’ve worked hard at it because we know culture and creativity are at the heart of most successful businesses all over the world.”
