AGENCY PHOTO.jpgAtomic 212° has continued its rapid growth trajectory with a series of internal promotions that reflect the agency ethos of rewarding and nurturing in-house talent.

James Shaw, former Google AdWords professional, has been promoted from senior account director to head of performance media, highlighting the volume of new business the agency has acquired across the digital space.

Shaw’s SEM team has spearheaded several recent wins, including Rust-Oleum and Ovolo Hotels, among others. As a result, the team’s senior account manager James Gilchrist has been promoted to account director.

Says Gilchrist: “After working with James Shaw at Google in the UK, I wanted to continue our strong partnership working on digital advertising clients across more than just Google platforms.”

Meanwhile, web analytics manager Rodrigo Queiroz has been promoted to data and analytics account director. This shift reflects the increasing work the agency has seen in the data and analytics space. In fact, the agency is looking to fill a number of data specific roles. More details will be provided in due course.

Says Barry O’Brien, chairman, Atomic 212°: “We have had to create new positions to manage the rapid growth we are experiencing. The agency always looks for the best talent both internally and externally, but it is certainly a great feeling to know that the best talent exists within the agency, allowing us to promote within.”

These recent promotions are the latest step in Atomic 212°’s evolution as a creative media business and follow a range of new business wins. The moves follow the appointment of Jenny Brown, who is being groomed for Group GM, and the appointment of nine new staff at the Atomic 212° Melbourne office.

Atomic 212° has offices based in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Auckland, from where it services clients in Australia, New Zealand, China, USA, Singapore and Japan.
