Traffik Group was behind the development of the new PlayTM Arcade game.

A first of its kind, the arcade of ATMs won’t dispense cash but instead will give gamers the opportunity to play some of their favourite retro arcade games including; Donkey Kong, Pacman, Bubble Bobble and Tetris. Gamers will compete for the highest score over the three day expo to win new PS4 Pro consoles daily.

St.George Bank recently announced its partnership with the ESL AU & NZ Championship. The partnership not only sees St.George become the first bank in Australia to partner with an esports provider, but it is also one of the first occurrences of support for competitive gaming in the region from a business not usually associated with the electronic gaming or computing sector.

Launching the St.George PlayTM Arcade at the biggest gaming expo in Sydney further strengthens St.George Bank’s alliance with the gaming community as over 30,000 gaming enthusiasts attend the 3 day event.

Says Ross Miller, general manager of retail banking, St.George Bank: “We’re seeing a large and growing number of St.George customers across all age groups embrace online games every month. The St.George PlayTM Arcade is a fantastic way of bringing games that many of us grew up with into an original, fun format that is truly St.George,”

Says Nick Vanzetti, managing director of ESL Australia: “Working with St.George for both our National Championships and now the Esports Arena at EB Expo has been a fantastic experience because they genuinely get both gaming and the gamer culture. The PlayTM Arcade is a fun and unique way to connect with gamers of all ages, and we are excited for the gaming community to get a chance to enjoy St.George’s PlayTMs at EB Expo.”

The St.George PlayTM Arcade will also roll out at PAX Australia in Melbourne from November 4th to 6th 2016.
