VCD + WE.Collective, Sydney and Finch take out Film Grand Prix and Music Grand Prix at Spikes Asia for Western Sydney University ‘Deng Adut’

DENG-wsu.jpgThe Western Sydney University ‘Deng Adut’ commercial via VCD + WE.Collective Sydney has taken out the Film Grand Prix at Spikes Asia tonight in Singapore.

The spot, created by Australian production company Finch, also took out the Music Grand Prix.

Overall, New Zealand and Australia put in a good performance, taking home an impressive haul of Gold, Silver and Bronze Spikes in most categories.

Film

VCD + WE.Collective Sydney won the Grand Prix for Western Sydney University ‘Deng Adut’. Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne won a Gold Spike for the Bonds campaign, one of only seven Golds awarded on the night. Revolver/Will O’Rourke won two Silver Spikes for Old Spice, J Walter Thompson, Sydney won a Silver Spike for Parkinson’s NSW ‘The Lucky Ones’, and Finch Sydney won a Silver Spike for St KIlda Film Festival ‘Every Second Counts’. Bronze Spikes were awarded to M&C Saatchi, Sydney for Commonwealth Bank ‘Kids’ and Photoplay Films Sydney / The Works, Sydney for MND Australia ‘The Fading Symphony’.

Healthcare

Leo Burnett, Melbourne won a Gold Spike for Headspace ‘Reword’, Grey Melbourne won a Gold Spike for MS Australia ‘This Bike has MS’ and Colenso BBDO, Auckland won a Gold Spike (and Silver Spike) for Anchor Milk ‘X-Ray Casts’. There were only five Gold Spikes awarded on the night. Leo Burnett, Sydney won a Bronze Spike for Samsung ‘Brainband’.

Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney won one of only two Innovation Spikes awarded, for Toyota Landcruiser ‘Emergency Network’.

Music

Finch Sydney, VCD + WE.Collective Sydney won the Grand Prix for Western Sydney University ‘Deng Adut’. Music Spikes were awarded to The Works Sydney for MND Australia ‘The Fading Symphony’ and to Whybin\TBWA Auckland for ANZ Tertiary ‘Fortune Favours the Brave’.
