Carat Australia has welcomed Rob Tilt to the agency in his newly-minted national role as head of innovation, tasked with bringing a fresh perspective to solving the client challenges of Australia’s largest media agency network.

A qualified developer, Tilt brings an extraordinarily diverse skillset to the agency; his background spans advertising, computer science, and even fine art. He will apply his unique perspective to helping solve the business challenges of Carat’s broad, blue chip client base.

Tilt joins Carat from his role as interactive lead at digital creative agency, Isobar – part of Dentsu Aegis Network – where his remit centered on harnessing the power of emerging technology to bring creative ideas to life for clients including ANZ, Foxtel, PayPal, and David Jones.

He is an exciting hire for Carat, the result of a comprehensive nation-wide recruitment process led by chief digital officer, Sarah James, who Tilt will report directly into.

Says James: “Rob joins us from Isobar with diversity of thought and experience, a strong passion for technology and ultimately the focus to lead our clients in this fast-paced media landscape. He will not only be responsible for driving the innovation agenda with our clients, but also ensuring we are aligning with the right global media partners to keep Carat at the forefront of the digital economy.”

Says Tilt of his appointment: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at Carat. Not only do they have fantastic people and culture, but an envious client roster with a proven record of successfully pushing the boundaries. Leveraging my creative technology background, I look forward to bringing a unique lens to how we innovate with our clients.”

Tilt’s appointment is effective immediately.
