CB Exclusive: boutique Sydney creative shop O’Shea & O’Brien merges with Banjo, Sydney

OCB Exclusive – Campaign Brief can reveal that boutique Sydney creative shop O’Shea & O’Brien has merged with Banjo Advertising, Sydney, resulting in Kath O’Shea (pictured left with Ben O’Brien) taking the planning director role at Banjo and Ben O’Brien taking over as creative director.

O’Shea & O’Brien was founded in February 2013, born out of Kastner & Partners, Sydney, which was taken over by O’Shea and O’Brien, previous local partners in the Australian arm of the Kastner network.

Prior to O&O, O’Brien was associate creative director at JWT Sydney, and a creative group head at DDB Sydney, where he helped the agency win Campaign Brief Agency of the Year.

With over fifteen years experience, O’Brien’s work has been recognised both locally and internationally at award shows including Cannes, Clio, The One Show, The New York Festivals, AWARD, ADMA, Folio, The Caxtons, The Siren Radio Awards, The Global Awards and The Melbourne Art Directors Club.

While at DDB Sydney, O’Brien was awarded a Silver Clio, a Bronze Pencil at AWARD and a Bronze Cannes Lion.
