Eran Thomson.jpgWriter, director, and self proclaimed “idea machine” Eran Thomson has joined the ranks of Chimney for representation in Australia.

Thomson has more than 10 years experience in the advertising industry as a creative and creative director, including time at award winning agencies BBH and TBWA in America and Australia. He has written and directed numerous campaigns, including work for Telstra, Kidney Health Australia, Kit Kat, and most famously, the Gruen Nation winning “if you think” political ad for the Greens.

He is also the founder of Australia’s first and only not-for-profit long form improv and sketch comedy school, Laugh Masters Academy.

Says Bo Thorp, MD, Chimney: “Eran is a great addition to our roster here in Sydney,” says MD Bo Thorp, “He has an amazing mind with an understanding of humour on multiple levels. This creativity, in combination with great communications skills and brand understanding, places him in a unique place.”

Most recently Eran has been able to demonstrate this promoting Emporia’s new Maxima 4-ply Paper Towels (Reborn), his first commercial with Chimney and a tongue-in-cheek approach toward the usual paper-towel fare.

Says Thomson on his appointment: “I’m thrilled to be working with the team at Chimney. They’re excited by good ideas and ready to make their mark on the Australian creative landscape. Plus, their Scandinavian origins means I get to talk like the Swedish Chef from The Muppets in meetings.”

More than just a film production company, Chimney leverages its film and entertainment expertise to producing wonderful moving images, with storytelling at its heart.
