Each year the AMI’s Awards for Marketing Excellence recognises brilliance in marketing practice across diverse customers, budgets and strategic approaches.

This year our judging panel of 120 judges assessed 215 entrants across 28 categories and awarded 61 national and state winners.

Says Lee Tonitto, CEO of AMI: “Hats off to the 120 judges who’ve given up their time to assess the innovative, creative, effective campaigns and marketing practices across the 215 entries in 28 categories. A tough job!”

Over the years, the awards have evolved in response to new developments in marketing theory and practice to reflect the growing appreciation of the critical role of marketing as a vital source of value creation for a business.

Says Andrew Thornton, AMI Chair: “These awards recognise and celebrate excellence in marketing at both an individual and organisational level. The quality of the entries and the spread of award winners is testament to the fact that the marketing profession in Australia is in a very healthy state”.

Both campaigns were acknowledged for their innovative and revolutionary approach in delivering brand awareness amongst consumers.

Says Holly Kramer, non-executive director, Woolworths, AMP, Australia Post and Nine Entertainment, was presented the Sir Charles McGrath award, recognising her signification contribution to the field of marketing through her comprehensive and diverse career. This is the highest award for an individual in the marketing profession in Australia.

Says Kramer: “It is indeed an honour to receive this recognition from the AMI (Australian Marketing Institute), the peak body representing and developing the marketing profession here in Australia. Customer centricity is more important in business now than ever before, so the work of the AMI should certainly be acknowledged and applauded.”
