Unknown.jpegLuscious photographer Michele Aboud’s entry in the 18th annual “Shoot The Chef Competition” has just been selected as a finalist.

The competition is run by Fairfax media and is part of this year’s Good Food month.

Her inspiration for her portrait was Finch New York’s owner and chef Gabe McMackin.

Says Aboud: “We spent a few hours together discussing his simple and authentic approach to food and service. He is a very busy man but still had time to support my project.”

Says Pip Mackenzie, EP, Luscious: “Michele has a wonderful way of capturing the essence of a person in an image along with every considered detail of the environment they are in. She should be really proud of how easily she transitions from high fashion to portraiture in both her stills and motion work as it can take years to master this art. She deserves this achievement.”

Selected finalists from the competition will be exhibited at Tramsheds in Sydney’s Harold Park October 7-16 and at Crown Melbourne, November 11-20.
