Screen Shot 2016-10-18 at 7.46.21 AM.jpgGoogle’s Creative Agency Team has launched a unique creative competition called The YouTube Skippys where six creative agencies battle it out to be crowned winner, letting the work speak for itself.

Agencies involved include BWM Dentsu, Clemenger BBDO Sydney, DDB, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi and CHE Proximity.

Each agency was given the same brief from toilet paper brand Who Gives a Crap and asked to create a video ad.

It can be subjective and often short case studies are created to summarise the work which are then judged by a panel of industry peers.

Google’s Creative Agency Team is Screen Shot 2016-10-18 at 7.45.26 AM.jpghosting a unique creative competition which allows the work to speak for itself. Teams from top creative agency partners will create their own unique video advertising based on an identical brief (to create one TrueView ad). Rather than being judged by a panel, performance will be measured across an equally weighted YouTube media plan looking at view through rate, average watch time and organic view count. The top performing creative will be crowned the winner.

These videos went up on Friday 14th October and will be live for one week. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 26th October.Screen Shot 2016-10-18 at 7.45.48 AM.jpg
