EmergingLineup (1).jpgAWARD has announced three more standout speakers for its inaugural Emerging Creative Directors Residential course which runs November 20-22 in Sydney.

Master of lifestyle concepts, founder of Deus Ex Machina and Mambo, Dare Jennings will join WPP AUNZ’s chief strategy officer and author, Rose Herceg along with creative powerhouse and DDB chief creative officer Ben Welsh for the three-day Residential.

Chaired and curated by BMF founder and industry legend Warren Brown, The Emerging Creative Directors Residential is Australia’s only custom-designed Residential for senior creatives looking to transition into leadership roles and acquire the new skills required to spearhead the industry’s next generation of creative trailblazers.

Jennings disproves the theory that lightning doesn’t strike twice.  His business brilliance and prescience for the cultural zeitgeist may come from a wild and intuitive place, but it’s Jennings’ deep connectivity with his customers at the front line that’s been pivotal to his rise and rise. Jennings is the embodiment of the connected leader.

Herceg, futurist, strategist, and author of The Power Book brings her unique perspective on finding the fulcrum between power and authentic leadership.

Says Herceg: “With leadership comes power.  Power is a loaded word.  It shouldn’t be. It’s the currency we trade in today and we all need it. Knowing how it works, how to get it and how to use it can make life much easier.”

Welsh is an internationally-renowned creative leader, with numerous Australian and global creative and effectiveness accolades under his belt.  Welsh is also widely recognised for his expertise in driving and mentoring his creative teams to world-leading work.

Co-chaired by J.Walter Thompson’s ECD Simon Langley, RUMBLE’s creative partner Nancy Hartley and The Monkeys’ founding partner and ECD Scott Nowell, The Emerging Creative Directors Residential will feature intensive modules spearheaded by leading ECDs, agency CEOs and CFOs.

Sessions will be highly interactive, combining workshops, panels, role plays and Q&As across three broad themes:

– Day 1: From creating to leading

– Day 2: The business of creativity

– Day 3: Exploring the CD role

To ensure delegates experience concentrated mentoring, practical experience and tangible learnings, the group is capped at twenty.

The Emerging Creative Directors Residential is proudly presented by AWARD; Australia’s longest-standing and most respected professional development program for creatives.

The course is exclusive to corporate members of The Communications Council.  Limited places still available. Final speaker lineup announced soon.
