emotivesocialmedia.jpgEmotive, the specialist social video content marketing agency based in Tamarama, has announced the promotion of Jamie Crick to the newly created role of social media director and has hired John Principe (JP) to the role of social strategy manager.

Reporting directly into CEO and founder Simon Joyce, Crick will lead the agency’s expanding social media amplification offering.

Says Joyce: “Everything we do is through the lens of audience’s passions and their behaviour in social media. It’s critical that we have an experienced leader that is plugged into social video culture. Jamie gives us exactly that – he has been a pioneer in this space.”

Key to the role is building on Emotive’s momentum in the influencer video marketing space.

Says Crick: “We know that video is the most engaging format for brands and we’ve seen the power that influencers have in moving their audiences to act. We also know that it can be tricky to get right; whether it’s identifying and recruiting the best influencers; finding the content sweet spot for the audience, influencer and brand; or making sure that the work is delivered in an accountable way. My role is to help brands get this balance right.”

New social strategy director Principe joins Emotive from DT and Slingshot, and will work closely with Crick and the team in building out social media solutions.

Says Principe: “Content is everywhere. The task is to create content that adds to our audience’s lives, something they truly care about and pay attention to. Emotive is at the forefront of branded video content, and it’s exciting to be a part of the team on this journey.”
